With 500g of fuel (sucrose) prepared, I first transferred the 500g of sugar into the frying pan. Then, after I ignited the butane gas burner, we poured 1kg of potassium nitrate (divided into two containers each with 500g) into the frying pan and mixed them at high temperatures by stirring.

Sugar at the bottom of the frying pan are beginning to caramelize (darken). Stirring the mixture constantly while some regions darken was in order to prevent heat being delivered unequally throughout the frying pan and therefore prevent the manufacture of an unusable propellant.

Starting to become darker and darker, but not necessarily equally throughout.

After about 20~25 minutes of stirring the mixture, the oxidizing agent (potassium nitrate) and fuel (sugar) formed a complete homogeneous solution that looked brownish in color.
