Delve Into STEM: Turbofan Engine (2)

After finishing the design for the combustion chamber, I moved on to making the shaft and the compressor. One thing I realized is that designing the fins (blades) are much harder than I imagined. Although I had prior experience with designing blades while designing an electric fan (https://sites.google.com/pupils.nlcsjeju.kr/moojokim-3d-cad-modeling/6-rechargeable-fan), this was very different since the blades had to be in a curved, fairly aerodynamically efficient shape. Due to this, I was not able to finish designing the compressor today, but hopefully by the end of this weekend I will be able to finish designing the components that have curved blades.
